bestchance Training is seeking to engage a part-time Business Administration Trainee for two days per week.

This exciting opportunity provides the successful applicant with the opportunity to undertake a nationally recognised qualification whilst working.

Main Responsibility and Accountability areas:
The Business Administration Trainee is responsible for:

• Manning the reception area two days per week
• Receives visitors and makes them feel welcome
• Maintaining the reception area to maintain a clean, tidy and professional presentation and at all times
• Answering incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers and forwards calls to the appropriate personnel or department
• Providing administrative assistance as required

Key Performance Indicators:
The key performance indicators for the Business Administration Trainee include:

• The provision of accurate, efficient, professional and consistent administrative services maintaining a flexible attitude to daily work flows
• Quality of service skills displayed in working with staff to establish work priorities
• Quality of communication and relationships with relevant stakeholders
• Correspondence with stakeholders is timely, accurate and professional
• All Electronic and paper filing, including student files, are complete, accurate and well maintained
• Undertake tasks in a timely manner to ensure work program meets the required deadlines
• Reception area is kept in a clean, tidy and professional presentation at all times
• Feedback from staff is positive
• Accurate and timely processing of completed enrolment pack information

Position Requirements:
The Business Trainee will possess:

• An understanding of administrative support skills, including word processing, database and spreadsheet skills, electronic media and the Internet.
• Experience in working in an environment that involves dealing with a wide variety of people in a personable involved manner
• Listening skills and the ability to direct people to their specific needs area is essential.
• Previous experience working in administration would be an advantage
• Ability to manage the day-to-day work flow in an intelligent and flexible way, allowing for the many unscheduled interruptions that occur; excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi task
• The ability to make decisions, and handle unexpected situations in a mature and professional manner
• Be self-directed, yet able to work as a member of a team
