About the company:

bestchance Child Family Care is an independent, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing high quality support to children and families since 1895. We are looking for an experienced and passionate customer service wiz with high-level communication and administrative skills, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of people every day.

About the role:

This is a full time position (working Monday - Friday 9am - 5.06pm), within our expanding administrative team. As part of this team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective running of the Pakenham site, by managing the ordering and maintenance function as well as co-ordinating the administration function of the site.
The main functions of your role will be:

  • Provide accurate preliminary information about bestchance and bestchance programs to external walk-ins at the South East site
  • Provide Facilities Management desktop support to all bestchance sites
  • Provide project administration support to Facilities Management team on capital works projects


Selection Criteria:

You will welcome a variety of responsibilities and adapt quickly to changing priorities. You will have great customer service skills, high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent time management skills, the ability to work under minimal supervision with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.
Key expectations will include:

  • Experience in an Office Management
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, problem solving and decision-making skills and well developed liaison and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and co-operatively in a team environment, with an innovative and flexible approach to work
  • High level computer skills such as MS Office products and presentation skills
  • Sound administration and organisational skills, including the ability to work effectively with external agencies and government bodies
  • Experience within the Not-for-Profit sector would be preferable but not mandatory.
