bestchance Child Family Care is an independent, not-for-profit community organisation which has been providing high quality support to children and families since 1895.

Our Family Day Care program is growing and we are looking for experienced and passionate Coordinator who is focused on providing operational and educational support to our Educators and is committed to ensure a high quality service for the children and families. This position would be a part time position based between both our Bayswater and Pakenham offices with the view to increasing days as the program grows.

Understanding the importance of working in partnership with Educators and the ability to develop strong relationships with families and children. Ability to work within a team of likeminded people, in an organisation whose intention is excellence.

You will be required to hold a minimum qualification of Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, with a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework and Regulatory requirements. Through your early years’ experience be able to effectively support and monitor the operations of our Family Day Care Educators and be a champion for families and children.

You will also have:

• At least 5 years’ experience in the early childhood field, preferably in Family Day Care sector
• Experience in a multi-site supervisory role, with emphasis on supporting Educators, families and children’s needs
• The ability to complete regular home visits, to monitor care, educational development and operations and ensure consistent quality environments in all homes, through strength based leadership
• The capability to support and mentor educators and to identify their requirements, through a collaborative approach, using sound decision making and problem solving skills
• Police Check and Working with Children Check
• First Aid Certificate, including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
• Your own car and licence
• The ability to support the Team Manager in the recruitment of Educators, Home Safety Checks and development of the program
• Strong Administration skills are essential
