We have over 750 Staff Members and 100 Volunteers delivering a range of educational programs accredited under the Department of Education and Training. These programs include Early Childhood Learning and Development for children under the age of five and Primary Education for children with social/emotional and learning difficulties. These programs are complemented by a range of support services for parents and families such as Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support Services.

We also offer nationally recognised Accredited Training through our Registered Training Organisation bestchance Training (TOID 3695).

bestchance has a zero tolerance of child abuse, and as such, all staff are required to report all instances of alleged or disclosed child abuse.

The Centre Vision

Armstrong Creek East Children’s Centre is a 191 place early childhood service that provides funded kindergarten programs, along with education and care programs, for children aged 6 weeks to 5 year old children.

Our programs will be influenced by several philosophies and theories in early education including Reggio Emilia, Victorian Early Learning and Development Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, Education through Nature, Education through Sustainability and Resources for Infant Educators (RIE) – all of which we feel offer innovation when promoting respectful and rich learning environments for children, families and educators. The environment and program at Armstrong Creek East seek to reflect the understanding of ‘relational learning’ where it is believed that all children learn through their connections with a wide range of relationships including with people, places, materials and ideas they encounter.

The programs at our service will be purposefully designed and furnished to provide specialist learning spaces for children to explore, research and test their theories. Educators will collaborate with other educators, families and children to design and implement rich, project based experiences where children of all ages and developmental stages may challenge their potential, reciprocate shared learning and build meaningful connections with their key educators and community of learners.
